The Marhaba! Project has developed and tested a first-year high school Arabic curriculum that aligns with national standards and is informed by scientifically based research, under a three-year federal grant to Boston Public Schools. We also offer teacher training and curriculum support.
How successful is this curriculum? Preliminary results of our research indicate that students are successful regardless of gender, grade, socioeconomic status, class size, and whether you teach in a public or private school. Also, student proficiency does not depend on a student’s attitude to learning or engagement in class, or a student’s attitude toward the curriculum.
Marhaba! is published commercially by Cheng & Tsui. Come meet us at ACTFL in Denver!
